András Sly Szalai
Andras Sly Szalai is a Hungarian Multimedia Hacker and Prototype Ninja, who likes to connect everyday objects to his computer, or remote control non-everyday things with an ordinary mobile phone. He also acts as an Artist and Interaction Designer who likes to build crazy installations for crazy people.
From September 2009 he is studying Innovation Design Engineering in the Royal College of Art, London.
Since May 2007 he is happy to work at the Kitchen Budapest Media Lab, as a researcher. He also became the “Face of KIBU” in 2008.
He was invited to the PICNIC Conference.
He was studying Engineering and Computer Science at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) for 2 years.
He is interested in alternative usage of recent and everyday technologies, new media, art, and interaction design (both human-computer and human-human interaction).
He practices capoeira, likes traveling and meeting with new people.
Despite all these, he is a tech geek. Never let him close to a button with “Don’t push” on it.
